The company was founded in 2021 on the initiative of Dr. Mario Cornegliani and other long-standing partners, including Saffi 1929 S.p.a., as a consortium of companies, with the aim of bringing together multiple operators in the construction and real estate sectors, creating a competitive player capable of operating as a contractor in the renovation sector.
Foundation
Rinascita S.r.l. is founded with the aim of bringing together specialized expertise from the construction and real estate sectors under a single general contractor.
Early Growth
This was followed, through the mediation of the founding partner, by a further capital increase, bringing the share capital to €222,222, with Sorgente Group joining the company’s shareholder structure. The Group operates in the real estate fund sector and is controlled by the Mainetti family, which also previously owned the newspaper Il Foglio.
In particular, the transaction was carried out through the entry into Rinascita S.r.l. of Polimnia, controlled by the Sorgente/Tiberiade Group, and Deals S.r.l.
Consolidation
In 2023, shareholder Tiberiade Holding S.p.A. decided to acquire Società Italiana per le Condotte d’Acqua 1880 S.p.A., transferring its shares in Rinascita S.r.l. to Dr. Mario Cornegliani.
A New Phase, a Global Outlook
In April 2026, at the age of 80, Dr. Cornegliani decided to transfer control of the company to third parties, while remaining a key point of reference for the new shareholders in strategic decision-making and corporate marketing, drawing on his decades of entrepreneurial experience.
